Senior Accountant Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and monthly closing processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and taxation standards.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, and provide financial reports for tax, owner, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate account balances and prepare bank statements, ensuring healthy cash flow.
  • Provide financial insights to executives, interpreting complex financial information.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Sales team to optimize pricing and engineering strategies.
  • Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper documentation and backup.
  • Investigate and resolve cash and non-cash differences, advising executives on necessary actions.
  • Analyze invoices to ensure accurate products and services were received at the expected cost.
  • Work with department heads to identify opportunities for waste reduction and cost optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze budget results against actual performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAP is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, taxation, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with G/L audits and account reconciliations.
  • CMA, CPA, or CFA certification is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
  • ERP knowledge is essential.
