The Integrated Management of Cultural Tourism (IMCT) Activity is a four-year USAID-funded project that seeks to increase tourism revenues and local economic benefit, including increased employment and business opportunities, in the cultural tourism sector at targeted destinations. The four results of the IMCT activity are: R1. GOE efforts to improve the enabling regulatory environment for investment in sustainable cultural heritage tourism consolidated and reinforced; R2. Selected cultural heritage sites rehabilitated and financially sustainable; R3. Higher value-added tourism products and services developed at target destinations; and R4. Capacity to promote cultural tourism in target destinations enhanced

IMCT has conducted an institutional capacity assessment to identify in-demand skills and competencies in the Ministry needed for effective management of private sector partnership projects. Accordingly, IMCT has designed a corresponding capacity-building program for the employees in the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MoTA) to empower them to perform their work as pertaining to managing private sector partnerships and projects effectively. The Capacity Development program consists of a series of modules with the objective of empowering employees to manage private sector partnerships and projects in the field of cultural heritage tourism. The Capacity Building Trainer will support in designing curriculum for select modules and training MoTA personnel on select modules, as part of the training and capacity building program.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Design and Delivery of GOE Capacity Building Program**
- Based on the MoTA training plan, develop training material under the **Communication with Stakeholders **pillar. This pillar consists of five (5) workshops:

**PRESENTATION SKILLS**

The Presentation Skills Course will focus on enhancing MoTA’s staff presentation capabilities and their ability to design and deliver impactful presentations. Sample topics include but are not limited to:

- Understanding your audience.
- Structure your presentation.
- Developing persuasive content.
- Delivering the presentation.
- Practical Application.

**EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION**

The Effective Communication Course will focus on enhancing MoTA’s staff communication capabilities enhancement and their ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Sample topics include but are not limited to:

- The communication processes.
- Effective communication.
- Effective listening.
- POWER of Non-Verbal Communication.
- Cross-cultural communication.
- Eliminating random noise.
- Persuasion and Negotiation Techniques.

**PROFESSIONAL ETIQUIETTE**

The Professional Etiquette Course will focus on enhancing MoTA’s staff skill set and their ability to manage work relationships in a professional manner. The course aims at enabling MoTA’s staff to foster a professional workplace culture. Sample topics include but are not limited to:

- What is business etiquette and why is it important?
- Understanding the importance of perceptions and first impressions.
- How to maintain a professional appearance.
- How to develop a professional greeting and handshake.
- How to develop positive, professional relationships with your co-workers Professional conduct.
- The Art of Introductions.
- Professional meeting and business function etiquette.
- Tips for being assertive rather than aggressive.
- How to manage your time professionally.
- Cellphone and N-etiquette Skills.
- Do’s and Don’ts Cellphone Etiquette.

**BUSINESS AND REPORT WRITING**

The Business and Report Writing Course will focus on enhancing MoTA’s staff business writing skills set and their ability to effectively communicate in writing. The course also aims at enabling MoTA’s staff to develop written reports in a public sector setting. Sample topics include but are not limited to:

- Preparation for business writing.
- Setting your objectives.
- Thinking about the reader.
- Obtaining the information.
- Prioritizing the information.
- Structuring your material.
- Sequencing your material.
- Writing for business.
- Accuracy, brevity, and clarity.
- Writing style.
- Editing.
- Proofing.

**TRAINING OF TRAINER (TOT)**

The Training of Trainers will focus on in-demand competencies needed for the effective management of private sector projects and MOTA personnel capacity building. Sample topics include but are not limited to:

- Introduction to Training and Development
- Training Design and Development
- Training Delivery and Facilitation
- Training Evaluation and Feedback
- Professional Development for Trainers
