Production Supervisor

Amentum is actively seeking a Production Supervisor for International Fleet Support under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. **This is a full-time position, and the work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt. **This position includes a competitive benefits package.
**Essential responsibilities and daily duties include**:
- Supervise the Amentum Ship Repair Team (SRT).
- Work closely with the Industrial Manager to adjust schedules based on labor availability, materials, and project priorities.
- Plan, coordinate, and assign daily tasks for multiple teams to ensure efficient execution of production goals.
- Lead and support production meetings with Egyptian Navy officials, providing updates and discussing all aspects of the work related to the shops under my management.
- Oversee and manage daily operations across various specialized shops, ensuring that each shop is meeting its production and operational goals. Shops include valve, compressor, shaft work, pumps and motors, and inside machinist.
- Act as a primary point of contact for Chief Engineers and Captains of the ships being supported and address any questions or concerns regarding the work and providing timely assistance as needed.
- Receive, inspect, verify, and distribute all documentation related to the shops under my supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards before dissemination.
- Responsible for identifying training opportunities for workers and department leads, fostering skill development across all trades.
- Ensure that all departments adhere to OSHA, NAVSEA, and shipyard safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials, confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
- Ensure a smooth workflow by monitoring team performance and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards. Ensure timely completion of tasks in alignment with production deadlines.
- Maintain effective working relationships with workers, customers, and Port Engineers. Ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and with mínimal disruption to the project, when complaints or disputes occur, whether directly or through managers, supervisors, or other resource.
- Ensure worker safety and environmental concerns are constantly monitored, and problems are effectively resolved.
- Provide timely and comprehensive inputs for the Monthly Status Report.
**Minimum Requirements**
- High School diploma or GED.
- 10 years of experience in marine production, shipyard operations, or industrial production, particularly focused on Naval surface ships.
- Possess leadership skills, including conflict resolution, real-time decision-making, high performance expectations and the capability of inspiring the team to meet them.
- Working knowledge of intermediate and depot-level repair procedures, repair, maintenance standards, quality assurance specifications, and proper use of IMA industrial machinery.
- Proficiency using hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices.
- Strong customer relationship skills to achieve customer satisfaction through their buy-in to business and project realities rather than diluting project actuals.
- Must have leadership experience, leading a team of 5-10 personnel.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with basic computer operation with ability to create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets, as required.
- Ability to maintain a strong working relationship with EN counterparts in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization.
- Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment.
- Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.
