**Job Summary**:
As a Hotel Deputy Manager, you will support the General Manager in all aspects of

hotel operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will assist in

managing staff, budgets, and being responsible for all operational standards,

procedures while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the management team and heads of departments
- Assist the hotel manager in daily hotel operations and guest services
- Constantly motivate and engage staff to deliver an excellent service
- Develop and build relationships within all levels of the business
- Regularly organize meetings with department heads, to discuss any issues or concerns. Also, meet individually to discuss the relevant roles and responsibilities. Monitor, control and advise
- Create and implement strategies for increasing revenue and occupancy
- Support the profitability and cost management of the hotel
- Maintain and monitor hotel inventory and records to ensure accurate financial statement
- Monitor financial activities such as room rates, revenues, and expenses to ensure profitability
- Monitor and control costs and budgets monthly
- Handle complaints and guest queries that arise in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety regulations
- Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Make sure all insurance matters are investigated and reported to the General Manager
- Ensure daily HSE walks are completed and any hazards are reported or rectified promptly
- Create and stay up to date with staff rosters
- Ensure that cash handling and control systems are carried out in line with Hotel policy
- Coordinate the Training Development of all staff in line with Hotel policy
- Follow disciplinary procedures on staff where required
- Ensure that induction of staff, the issuing of the hotel’s code of practice, contract of employment, health and safety statement and any related issues are dealt with by the HR manager
- Ensure members of staff adhere to grooming and uniform policy
- Be responsible for Labor Costs in the organization as well as overall costs in line with the annual hotel budget
- Manage payroll and wage budgets within budgetary constraints
- Assist in drawing up and achieving the annual hotel budget
- Organise weekly and monthly stock taking
- Coordinate with the HR manager in regard to training needs, recruitment and selection of staff
- Overseeing hotel renovations

**Requirements**:

- Hospitality degree and minimum of two years experience in the same or similar role
- Without a hospitality degree, a minimum of 5 years experience in the same or similar role
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken). German is an advantage
- Good understanding of management principles and proven experience of working in the hotel industry
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to assist in motivating and developing a hotel service team
- A strong sense of personal responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Good conflict management and problem solving skills
- Integrity, honesty and transparency
- Eye for detail
- Ability to work and stay focused under pressure
- Prior experience working with hotel management systems (Opera or equivalent)
- Flexibility to work longer durations away from home as required by the business
- Capable of working independently
