- For the development of state of the art middleware software components for the future autonomous vehicle generation of a premium German car manufacturer, we are searching for experienced Test engineers to join our international team.
- In the context of the development of the next car architecture this automotive SW development project will gain a central role in the client's EE Architecture.- System Functions in this terms are all open and proprietary functions which are- necessary for E/E integration into a vehicle: e.g. programming, diagnostics, coding, vehicle clock/time sync management, service discovery, communication via standard links like ethernet etc.
- necessary as a supplemental function: e.g. logging of data to external logger boxes (tracing), debugging capabilities (e.g. via JTAG)
- necessary for internal operation of the system, e.g. process management, CPU/RAM/Flash quota management, scheduling
- necessary for the safe operation (e.g. ASIL requirements, watchdogs, diagnostic monitors)
- necessary for the secure operation (e.g. HSM configuration, secure boot concepts for all relevant SoCs etc.)

The software platform is based on an QNX operating system, which hosts a commercial Adaptive AUTOSAR stack including OEM specific functionalities for- programming
- diagnostics
- coding
- vehicle clock/time sync management
- service discovery
- logging
- process management, CPU/RAM/Flash quota management, scheduling
- safety and security functionalities like certificate management, HSM configuration, secure boot, etc.

The software stack developed within this project shall be deployable to different underlying hardware platforms. The initial launch of this software stack is currently targeted for July 2025.**Responsibilities**:

- Implement, execute and document test cases in alignment with the requirements
- Prepare test reports
- Setup release process, quality checks, etc.
- Configurate and integrate the ECU Test into HW setup (ECU Test, Python)
- Integrate tests into the CI environment; implement scripts to trigger tests from within the CI and for fetching test execution results
- Implement the job templates in Zuul for check and gate test
- Concept and implementation of repository for harmonized SW modules; implement a central set of SW modules that will be extended step by step
- Design, implement and maintain safety-related HIL development test benches
- Work on a solution that can be used for booking HIL test bench resources, e.g., for manual testing (Python, Java)
- Support in setting up HW infrastructure / DevOps
- Support developers to track the bugs, problem areas, verify bug fixes

**Skills**:
Must have
- Minimum 3 years experience in Python
- As a frontend developer using Python, you should have a strong understanding of the Python language and its syntax. Proven expertise in advanced python programming is a must.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks: You should have experience working with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular, which are commonly used for building complex user interfaces.
- Experience with version control systems: Version control systems such as Git are essential for collaborating with other developers and maintaining code over time.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and its ideology
- Academic degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering or similar qualification
- CI / tooling skills: Git, bash scripting, Docker and build automation
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, ideally along with agile principles
- Strong focus on producing well-tested, clean and maintainable code
- Open to learn new tech and adjust to new ways of working
- Good communication skills in English (writing & speaking) along with team spirit
- Self-organized and diligent
