**About The Role**:
Mondia Group Legal Department is seeking a **Legal Counsel** to support the group legal function. The role will report directly to the Group General Counsel.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy legal department in a fast-paced and growing business that operates across multiple jurisdictions in a vibrant and growing sector. You will be exposed to work of various degrees of complexity and will support in developing our commercial relationships with our customers and partners who represent some of the biggest names in Telecommunications, Digital Media and Technology.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Contract Drafting and Management**:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring they are in compliance with legal standards, internal standard clauses and protect the company’s interests.
- **Legal Advisory**:Provide legal advice on various aspects of law and contractual interpretation, particularly related to telecommunications, media, technology. This may include managing the procurement of advice from external counsel.
- **Corporate**:Support the governance, licensing and administration requirements of Mondia Group entities, including in conjunction with other departments and external consultants.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Ensure that the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations in the sectors and territories in which it operates.
- **Project Management**:Support the General Counsel in the execution of legal projects across the group.
- **Stakeholder Liaison**:Work closely with various internal departments, providing legal support and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage workloads and stakeholder demands.
- Excellent project management skills to manage legal projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and proactively address legal issues.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Process driven with an interest in driving efficiency within the legal function.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Academic**: Law degree from a recognized university. Bar admission is of interest but not essential**.**:

- **Experience**: At least 5 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a minimum of 3 years of in-house experience.
- **Sector**: Demonstrable experience working in Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) sector will be an advantage.
- **Cross-border**: Experience working in a cross-border/multi-jurisdictional environment will be an advantage (in particular GCC, MEA and EU markets).
- **Language**: Fluency(written and oral) in English and Arabic is a MUST.
- **Legal**: Strong understanding of relevant legal areas, excellent drafting, contract interpretation and negotiation skills, in addition to a strong understanding of the principles of risk allocation in commercial contracts. Experience in the area of privacy/data protection is of interest, but not essential.
