**Description**:
Role purpose: IP engineer mainly experienced in operating IP services & nodes of different technologies and vendors with good experience in IP planning and design within a mobile operating company or service provider. The IP engineer will work across different technology teams during the design and implementation of new services and solutions with the responsibility of designing and rolling out IP services.

**core competencies**:
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
3-5 years of experience in IP & Security operation, planning and design within a mobile operating company or service provider.

Background in mobile and/or fixed network technology (design, implementation and roll out of services).

Track record of IP solutions operation in a telecoms environment.

Ability to develop workable product solutions to address the strategic imperatives of the business.

**Job Responsibility**:
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Involve in the technical assessment, planning and design of IP & Security solutions in a consistent way with the department product catalogue, strategy and architecture

Participating with seniors in the team to gather customer/business requirements and analysing those requirements from a technical feasibility point of view

Participate in Technical Migrations according to project demands working with virtual technology teams, different stakeholders from business, technology, operators during solution design and implementation phases,

Act as technical representative in his area within the project team and competence area to all stakeholders, including the customer and Technology operations.

Low Level design and Solution Documentation

**Skills**:
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Bachelor degree in electronic/telecommunications engineering.

Basic understanding of protocols and products in mobile networks: GSM, 3G

Advanced understanding of different Security platforms and concepts (FWs, IPS, Proxies, IPSEC tunnels, VPNs, WAF, NAT...)

CCNP / CCIP certification or equivalent in IP and Security domain with technical knowledge of

WAN Access Technology (xDSL, Ethernet, SDH)

IP Networking

Security Networking

Advanced understanding of protocols and products in IP Backbone: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP & MP-BGP, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN (ATOM and VPLS), RSVP, MPLS, MPLS TE Inter-AS MPLS and CsC,, Metroethernet, Quality of Service.

Hands On Experience in different vendor platforms in IP and Security domain (Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, Paloalto...).

Knowledge of different programming and automation languages (C++, Paython, Ansible..)

Good knowledge of cisco datacenter solutions and platforms (Nexus Switches, Cisco ACI,..)

Good Knowledge of SDN and NFV concepts

Good Knowledge in Virtualization and cloud infrastructure (Openstack, VMWare,..)
