**Role Description and Purpose**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Analyze customer requirements and functional requirements in order to write technical specifications; ensures quality of technical specifications written by team
- Collaborate with Project Manager to create the development schedule, including work effort estimates, work breakdown structure, project dependencies, resource allocation, etc.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure that the architectural vision is defined and realized in the technical specifications and code created
- Provide technical leadership to developers throughout entire project life cycle
- Contribute to the growth of Oracle Retail Consulting business and improvement of service delivery through the creation and sharing of knowledge on project experiences
- Manage change control process, including project scope control, assessing impact of change requests, estimating work effort for change requests, etc.
- Manage source control process as well as build process
- Act as primary point of resolution for technical issues, collaborating with the architect and/or Project Manager whenever necessary
- Observe any project risks that arise during project execution and elevate them to the architect and/or Project Manager whenever necessary
- Act as technical liaison between all technical resources engaged on the project, whether as part of the Oracle Retail Consulting team, the customer’s team, and/or any 3rd party teams; help customer understand overall technical direction and progress
- Conduct code reviews throughout the development phase, ensuring that best practices are followed and lessons learned are promulgated to entire team
- Estimate level of effort to code and test moderately difficult to complex requirements
- Create key project deliverables, including technical specifications, unit tests, and tested code
- Coach and mentor others in development best practices, the software development life cycle, and other core technical skills and knowledge
- Submit status updates on all project activities to the Project Manager

**Essential Skills, Education and Work Experience**

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or related field is required. A combination of 3-5 years of experience in relevant industry business practices, business consulting, and/or technical consulting is required; retail and telecommunications sectors are most desired. In addition, the following are critical skills required (or desired, where noted) to perform well in this position:

- Must haves:

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer-facing skills at all levels of a customer organization;
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Portuguese and Spanish;
- Experience presenting or facilitating meetings and group discussions;
- Solid presentation skills, great at developing rapport with customers and partners;
- Ability to adjust communication content to a wide range of audiences (e.g. technical developers to C-level executives);
- Desired proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, MS Project, as well as others (e.g., wikis, bug tracking, source control, etc.);
- Solid analytical and design skills; ability to participate in sales-pursuit meetings and provide technical commentary;
- Excellent experience leading software development teams and programming ability;
- Be able deliver technical documents and architecture diagrams to external audiences;
- Be able to write high quality frontend code as a full stack engineer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, REST APIs, ReactJS, Redux, ReactNative, AngularJS) is a must;
- Use CSS pre-processors like SASS, LESS and Stylus;
- Able to write unit test code in JavaScript using frameworks Mocha, Jest, Chai;
- Experience with backend development on Java, NodeJS and integration technologies is a must have;
- Must have database experience with one or more of the following: MongoDB, Redis, Oracle, MySQL;
- Executing performance tuning, code profiling, load and performance testing tools;
- Nice to haves:

- Understanding of e-commerce eco-system, integrations, verticals and online business principles is desired;
- Working knowledge configuring web servers like Apache and/or NGinx is desired;
- Experience with WebLogic Application Server and/or JBoss is desired;
- Experience in writing web services in REST and SOAP (publishing or consuming);
- Creating build scripts and managing CI/CD tools (Ant, Maven, Jenkins, etc.);
- Designing system architecture (OS, networking, Docker Containers, sizing and capacity planning);
- The Usual:

- Working in various SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Waterfall, etc.);
- Working with source control processes & tools (Git, SVN, code branching & merging);
- Complete higher education, BA or BS in Computer Science or
