Job Summary

Senior Contracts & claims Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts during the various stages of the construction process. Formal qualifications in Engineering, construction, and or a legal degree, with sound experience as a Contract Administrator and project management.

General Administrative Duties
- Prepares periodic reports regarding the function activities and achievements to be submitted to the Technical Office Manager every month or when required
- Assigns a coverage person to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises such as travel, out of office for personal or business need
- Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the projects control Manager**.**
- Coordinates the negotiation of all contracts with the section head.
- Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by contractors.
- Receives requests; obtains estimates; updates records, initiates paperwork, and follows up on requests for approval of work not previously covered in the contract; processes and obtains approval of contract changes.
- Monitors compliance of contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice.
- Initiates and/or conducts meetings with contractors concerning contractual problems as requested by the project control manager.
- Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity.
- Assists in compiling and preparing bid documents and bidders list, including inquiry preparations, requests for bids, and recommendations for award of contract.
- Manage the delivery of a capital project and associated work by the executed contract documents.
- Ensure the contractor fulfills responsibilities, duties, and outcomes by documented requirements, the contract itself, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that the building contractor is properly paid for works suitably carried out.
- Responsible for all project contracts starting owner contracts up to all subcontractor contracts.
- Analyze contracts for all projects.
- Responsible for all owner and subcontractor claims until close issues.

**Qualifications** Minimum Required Education**
- Bachelor in Engineering
- from 4:7 years of experience in a related field experience.
