Since opening in 2012 Arkan Plaza has evolved into West Cairo’s primary commercial and social destination, offering a multitude of retail and dining outlets along with gyms, banks and offices. All radiating from its welcoming central plaza, situated in the heart of Sheikh Zayed located on the 26th of July corridor main spine, which connects the cities of Sheikh Zayed and 6th of October with the central Cairo area.

Crowne Plaza West Cairo - Arkan the 178-room new build forms part of Phase II of Arkan Plaza. The Hotel is 10 minutes away from the “new” Grand Egyptian Museum and 15 minutes from the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is also in close proximity to Cairo International Airport and will be just 10 kilometers away from Sphinx International Airport. Business and leisure travelers can get the best of both worlds with three meeting rooms and a business center along with an outdoor pool and Club Lounge

We are currently looking for a Chief Engineer to join our amazing team at Crowne Plaza West Cairo - Arkan

**Your day to day**:

- Direct daily engineering needs, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right team in place.
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognise good performance.
- Recommend or initiate any HR elated actions where needed..
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
- Help prepare the departmental budget and financial plans financial and operational plans for the hotel.
- Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning.
- Lead hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Help guests needs to ensure their satisfaction
- Use a maintenance programme to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for our guests.
- Carry out a preventive maintenance programme to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for guests (example: lighting, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, water treatment systems, and pools)
- Maintain and order parts and supplies whilst minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.

**What we need from you**
- Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering field (Master's degree preferable).
- At least 4 years of experience leading or supervising a team.
- Specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields
- Hotel experience preferred
