Bim Architectural Engineer

A BIM engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining buildings and infrastructure digital models.These models help design, construct, and operate buildings and other structures.

A BIM engineer typically works with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to create these models.

They use computer software such as Revit or AutoCAD to generate models from blueprints, sketches, photographs, or whatever available source.

Their work can range from drafting the layout of an entire building to working on individual parts of it.

For example, they might draft a door’s dimensions or draw an electrical conduit in 3D space.

Bim-engineers also take measurements in person using surveying equipment and then transfer them into their model as precisely as possible.

They make sure everything is where it should be by comparing their model against blueprints or using other sources such as aerial photos taken during site visits.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Support the engineer in day-to-day coordination with other disciplines.
- Expert in the use of the most recent AutoCAD and Revit Architecture software.
- Prepare CAD and Revit Architecture drawings and models.
- Capable of creating BIM families and do clash detection using Navisworks.
- Autodesk certified professional Architecture is recommended
- Able to work using BIM process and 3D modelling.
- Preparation of Architecture drawings in coordination with structural and MEP drawings.
- Preparation of detailed Architecture drawings along with section details.
- Preparation of ID drawings.

**Competencies and Requirements**:

- BCs of Engineering Architecture
- 7-10 years of experience
- Good command of English language
- Excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask with strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel etc.)
