Location: Durham - Middletown - New Britain - Brigeport
Shift: First Shift and multiple openings on 2nd.
Salary: $32-50/hour

Responsibilities


As the Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for making, repairing, or modifying custom-made products, prototypes, or special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very specific dimensions

Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or dial indicators

Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders (Blanchard Surface)

Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools

Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products

Requirements

Seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Tool & Die Maker, Tool room attendant

Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Position requires excellent math skills and the ability to read, interpret, and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

Ability to work 10 hours in a physically active and challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling
