Supporting a leading OTT streaming service, NEP is seeking a Lead Live Operator to join our Live Streaming Operations team in Los Angeles, The Live Streaming Operations team is responsible for managing and monitoring inbound/outbound transmission, ad insertion, feed routing, and overall video/audio/caption quality for marquee sporting events and other live The Live Lead Operator will join this new and expanding team, providing monitoring and live operations support for various events per client requirements and NEP This position will require schedule flexibility, including weekends, late nights, and

What You Will Do:

• Vigilantly protect live streams by simulating the experience of a viewer and constantly checking for proper audio, video, closed captioning and picture quality
  
• Switch the contribution feeds for a game in various languages (on MCR count)
  
• Monitor commercial playout and modify playlists as needed
  
• Monitor for system failures or quality issues and execute manual failovers if needed
  
• Count in and out of Studio & Truck segments and commercial breaks
  
• Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate
  
• Operate all broadcast equipment and technology within assigned operating areas
  
• Train and develop junior operators, leveling up their skills and expertise
  
• Drive ongoing operational improvements in partnership with Supervisors and EICs
  
• Interview/evaluate new operators and act as a member of the hiring team
  

Requirements

• Minimum 4-6 years related experience
  
• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  
• General understanding and experience with broadcast routers, video/audio monitoring, playout/ad insertion, and other television technology
  
• Ability to read scopes and basic understanding of broadcast and streaming systems
  
• Schedule flexibility with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays
  
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English
  
• Spanish and/or French skills beneficial
  

This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly based on experience, at a rate range of $30 - $60 per hour
