The Human Resources and Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing various aspects of the HR and payroll functions within the organization. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll compliance with employment laws and effective administration of employee benefits.


Key Responsibilities:

Process biweekly or monthly payroll for all employees.

Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations including deductions taxes and benefits.

Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Handle payrollrelated queries from employees.

Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and other perks.

Coordinate with benefit providers and resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Educate employees about their benefits and assist them with enrollment and changes.

Maintain employee records including personal data employment contracts and performance evaluations.

Support the recruitment process by posting job ads screening resumes and coordinating interviews.

Assist in the onboarding process for new hires and ensure they are aware of company policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.

Prepare and submit necessary reports to government agencies.

Conduct regular audits to ensure HR and payroll practices are uptodate and compliant.

Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues related to payroll and benefits.

Provide guidance and support to employees on HRrelated matters.

Facilitate conflict resolution and foster a positive work environment.

Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Assist in HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives performance management and training programs.



Requirements

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

Proven experience in payroll processing and HR administration.

Strong knowledge of payroll software and HR information systems (HRIS).

Excellent understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Professional use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word)



A passion for writing and creating compelling content Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field Basic written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with social media platforms Basic knowledge of SEO principles is a plus Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
