Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Engineering and Architecture: Design, construct, and upkeep scalable and resilient system structures, incorporating Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) principles to ensure alignment with business goals emphasizing efficiency, security, and dependability.
  • SASE Implementation and Management: Spearhead the implementation and management of SASE solutions, overseeing elements such as Secure Web Gateways (SWG), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), and Firewall as a Service (FWaaS).
  • Automation and Monitoring: Identify monitoring loopholes and devise automation solutions for improved daily monitoring and operations, creating scripts/workflows to boost operational efficiency.
  • Security Audit and Compliance: Conduct thorough security audits, evaluate system vulnerabilities, and pinpoint non-compliance issues with regulatory standards and internal protocols, formulating and executing remediation strategies effectively.
  • Incident Response and Threat Mitigation: Proactively monitor systems for potential threats, promptly responding to security incidents, investigating breaches, analyzing root causes, and implementing measures to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
  • Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation: Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses, formulating and executing strategies to rectify vulnerabilities and enhance security posture across systems and networks.
  • Policy Development and Documentation: Create, refine, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, documenting audit findings, remedial actions, and security measures for compliance and reference purposes.
  • Adoption of Emerging Technologies: Stay informed about emerging security trends, tools, and technologies, quickly adapting and applying fresh tools, methodologies, and best practices to reinforce security measures and effectively address evolving threats.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6 years or more in system engineering, SASE implementation, security, and audit remediation roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of security frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
  • SASE Expertise: Proficient in implementing and overseeing SASE components like SWG, ZTNA, CASB, FWaaS, and integrating them within comprehensive security strategies.
  • Audit Remediation Skills: Ability to conduct security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and rectify non-compliance issues effectively, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of system engineering principles, network protocols, cloud security, encryption technologies, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Monitoring Tools And Automation: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Logic Monitor/ Solarwinds and SIEM tools like Splunk/ELK/Q-Radar, experience in scripting languages like python/PowerShell, and automation frameworks Ansible/Jenkins.
  • Adaptability and Quick Learning: Proven history of swiftly learning and implementing new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance security posture and combat emerging threats.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications like CCNP Security, CCSK, CISSP, SASE Practitioner, CISA, or vendor-specific certifications provided by leading SASE providers are advantageous.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, translating intricate security concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical audiences.
