Role Description The Senior Proposal Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm Heliopolis. This position is responsible for leading the preparation and writing of technical and commercial proposals for engineering and consultancy projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing tender documents, coordinating with engineering, sales, and procurement teams, and developing accurate cost estimates and technical offers. The role involves analyzing project specifications, gathering and validating technical data, and ensuring timely submission of complete proposal packages. The Senior Proposal Engineer will also support negotiations, maintain proposal templates and databases, and contribute to improving proposal processes and win strategies. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong proposal preparation and proposal writing skills, with experience in developing technical and commercial offers for engineering projects.
- Candidates should possess solid electrical engineering knowledge, with the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Candidates should possess sales-related skills, including client interaction, understanding of market needs, and contribution to bid and pricing strategies.
- Candidates should possess procurement-related skills, such as coordinating with suppliers, obtaining quotations, and supporting cost estimation and budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Several years of experience in proposal engineering, tendering, or similar roles within engineering or construction consultancy.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and cost estimates.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, Excel, and basic engineering design or estimation tools).
- Fluency in English for technical writing and reporting; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
