Role Description The Safety Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Al Maḩallah al Kubrá. The Safety Specialist will design, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures across textile and dyeing operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. Daily tasks include conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits, and recommending corrective actions to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses. The role also involves delivering safety training to employees, maintaining safety documentation and reports, and leading incident and accident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. The Safety Specialist will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance. Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Safety Training, including developing training materials and delivering sessions to diverse workforce groups.
• Experience in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices, with the ability to apply them to textile and dyeing operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accurate documentation of safety activities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Ability to work on-site in Al Maḩallah al Kubrá, conduct regular inspections on the production floor, and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; professional safety certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in textile, dyeing, or similar heavy manufacturing industries is preferred.
