About the Role
Xpand is recruiting on behalf of a leading trading and distribution company in AlJizah,Egypt . The client’s name will be shared with shortlisted candidates. is looking for an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across procurement, warehousing, inventory, logistics and order fulfilment. You will make sure products move reliably from suppliers to customers, on time, at the right cost and quality, and build the processes and team that let the business scale.
Key Responsibilities
Supply chain and procurement
• Oversee purchasing, supplier coordination and import/export processes, including documentation and customs clearance
• Manage supplier relationships, lead times, pricing and service levels
• Work with sales and finance to forecast demand and plan stock levels Warehouse and inventory
• Run warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits and stock controls, and reduce shrinkage, damage and slow-moving stock
• Keep the warehouse safe, organised and compliant with health and safety standards Distribution and logistics
• Plan and optimise delivery routes, fleet use and third-party carrier performance
• Make sure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, and resolve delivery issues quickly
• Control transport and logistics costs while meeting customer service targets Process, performance and cost
• Set, track and report operational KPIs (order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, cost per order, stock availability)
• Prepare and manage the operations budget, and identify savings and efficiencies
• Document SOPs and drive continuous improvement
• Implement and improve ERP, inventory and warehouse management systems People and cross-functional work
• Lead, coach and evaluate warehouse, logistics and administrative staff
• Coordinate with sales, finance and customer service so operations match commercial priorities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality and company policy requirements Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field
• [5–8] years of operations, supply chain or distribution experience, including [2–3] years managing teams
• Solid knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, procurement and import/export procedures
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, reporting and KPIs
• Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory systems and advanced Excel
• Strong leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in [English / Arabic / French]; strong written and verbal communication Nice to Have
• Experience in [FMCG / consumer goods / building materials / etc.]
