About the Role
Tawakol Technology is looking for a detail-oriented Tendering Engineer / Estimator with 3–5 years of experience in electrical MEP tendering and cost estimation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical tender submissions while ensuring compliance with project specifications and submission deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare and follow up on RFQs with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, and tender documentation.
• Quantity Take-Offs (Commercial & Residential): Perform quantity take-offs for residential and commercial projects by estimating average circuit lengths for lighting, power sockets, and light current systems to conduct quantity surveying and cost analysis.
• Quantity Take-Offs (Infrastructure): Perform quantity take-offs for infrastructure projects by estimating Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and communication cables, including calculations for excavation and backfilling volumes, duct banks, and road crossings.
• Preliminary Design Documentation: Prepare preliminary design documentation for lumpsum (LS) projects, (consulting with Engineering team) including:
• Cable route drawings, voltage drop and short-circuit calculations using ETAP software.
• Load schedule reviews and quantity surveying.
• Integration of light current solutions such as structured cabling, CCTV, fire alarms, IPTV, IP telephony, public address systems, and disabled systems.
• System Compliance Assessment: Assess systems—including lighting fixtures, fire alarms, CCTV, data networks, structured cabling, IP telephony, IPTV, access control, public address, BMS, and parking management—to ensure riser diagrams comply with the BOQ and system design.
• Maintain organized tender records and support pricing negotiations. Requirements
• BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical MEP tendering or estimation.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, electrical drawings, and BOQs.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, and MEP materials.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Contracting Background is a must.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
