Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician will perform maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems across all refinery areas, including utilities, packing, and raw sugar units. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, reliability, and compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while providing accurate shift reporting.

• Execute E&I maintenance and repair work on plant equipment to meet refinery productivity targets.
• Flexibly support multiple E&I areas (e.g., Utilities, Packing, Raw Sugar) as assigned.
• Perform site testing, calibration, and monitoring of instruments to ensure product quality standards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities to reduce equipment breakdowns.
• Repair, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation devices such as transmitters, valves, gauges, motors, circuit breakers, and MCCs.
• Maintain high craftsmanship standards with minimal supervision to ensure system reliability.
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, hygienic work environment.
• Complete daily shift reports to track device performance and maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize work orders and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety drills.

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in refinery or heavy‑industry E&I maintenance.
• Proficiency in calibrating and troubleshooting transmitters, valves, gauges, and motor control circuits.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and MCC systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, HSE standards, and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and instrumentation diagrams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency call‑outs.
