Testing and Commissioning Manager

**What are my responsibilities?**
- Coordinate the testing and commissioning activities related to the consortium scope and to support the team allocated to each line.
- Interface with the customer and the customer representative, with the certification body in order to define and agree the verification and validation strategy
- Interface with the Employer and Employer representative to define and agree the T&C strategy
- Coordinate with all the other stakeholders internal and external for all the aspect related to the design under his responsibility.
- Manage and organize the safe and efficient execution of the system integration testing re-quired to verify and validate the performance of the blue, green and red line systems on behalf of the SOAC consortium. This will enable to receive the Taking over certificate and allow the customer to perform the Trial Running and Trial Operations phases with a view to facilitating the timely opening of the three high speed Line for passenger service.
- Support the line T&C Manger to manage and plan prescribed integration tests across all railway sub systems including Signaling, Train, Customer Information Systems, Radio, Communications, Driver Only Operation and Power.
- Contribute to Identify gaps, risks and hazards in the testing undertaken strategy.
- Identify and enforce the T&C strategy needed to achieve the overall system certification.
- Review and approve integration test scripts on behalf of the consortium
- Clarify T&C related issues at interfaces between the Subsystems (Package 2)
- Support to the integration of the Subsystem T&C activities
- Perform or participating in Test reports reviews
- Providing weekly progress and status report for the area under their responsibility.

**What do I need to qualify for this job?**
- Degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering
- Minimum 5 years extensive experience in the role of T&C Manager in Rail Transport Systems, ideally in the systems business, with the focus on railways systems
- knowledge in the areas of ERTMS deployment and mainline environment.
- Independent and structured approach to work
- High level of customer and quality orientation together with strong abilities in consulting and implementation
- Experience to write and review test procedure.
- Experience on writing T&C management plan and T&C delivery strategy.
- Excellent communication abilities combined with strong interpersonal skills
- Project experience in the context of international customer or development projects desirable
- Experience of testing & commissioning of rail systems
- Experience of planning and executing tests on site
- Experience of system integration
- Experience of major infrastructure projects
- Experience and detailed knowledge of testing and commissioning into service complex railway systems including power, signalling & train and interfacing sub systems.
