**Role Description**:
This is a full-time on-site role, for a Product and Contracting Manager. The Product and Contracting Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing our portfolio of travel products and contracts with various suppliers, negotiating and strategizing contracts, designing and creating packages and itineraries to meet the needs of our customers, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to create new products and services to meet the demands of our growing customer base.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and establish relationships with new travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and tour operators.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms for our agency.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Continuously evaluate and analyze the existing product portfolio to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Research and source new travel products and experiences to enhance our offerings.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product database, including descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and supplier costs to set competitive pricing strategies.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure profitability targets are met.
- Ensure the quality and standards of all travel products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to create compelling travel packages and promotions.
- Communicate product updates and changes to relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market research findings.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience in product development and contracting within the travel industry.
- Strong negotiation and contracting skills with suppliers and partners.
- Experience with creating and managing travel packages and itineraries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail to ensure contractual compliance and revenue optimization.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Travel and Tourism, business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working with an online travel agency (OTA) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the latest emerging trends, technologies, and software in the travel industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and booking platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) is a plus.
