**Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and maintenance of high standards of code quality and stability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the JavaScript and Node.js ecosystem.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Node.js development.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, ES6, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with popular Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS, Koa).
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and understanding of the HTTP protocol.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Angular) is a plus.
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms ( Google Cloud, AWS)(mandatory) and CI/CD tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
- Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with TypeScript.
- Contributions to open-source projects.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: E£10,000.00 - E£40,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 48 per week
