Technical Manager

Purpose of the role:
This position will act as technical interface between client engineering, client critical infrastructure projects and CBRE engineering teams for complex activities and will ensure best in class standard of engineering delivery to the client across critical assets and operations. The role will require completion of specified planned critical and statutory works which are deemed to require technical manager support. The role will be required to support abnormal operating conditions in critical space and ensure mitigation measures are identified and actioned to avoid any impact on client business operations.

The role requires a strong MEA technical and statutory competence and drive to comply with all Health and Safety policies and standards.

**Key Tasks**:

- Critical Facilities Operations - Regional service delivery and support for Strategic and Satellite data canters Technology rooms and other Critical Facilities / Systems.
- Change Management - Provide engineering support to ensure thorough review and approval of all critical operational and construction activities in critical facilities.
- Strategy and Planning - Development and maintenance of consistent critical facility operations standards and critical engineering best practice. Review and oversight of critical engineering maintenance and engineering specifications.
- Outage Reporting / Incident Response - Incident and Outage Response, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning. Resolve any critical systems environments audit and/or Risk & Control challenges.
- Audit and Risk Control - Risk, Control, and Compliance mitigation and notification including assisting in critical facilities operation oversite, audits, and issues.

Critical Facilities Operations:

- Manage overall service delivery in Strategic and Satellite data centers and other Critical Facilities, provide support in the management of other critical systems located in facilities throughout the region.
- Participate in the development of and regionally maintain corporate standards for maintenance of critical equipment and operation of facilities
- Maintain an inventory of critical components for use in sharing best practices, expediting repairs through leveraged parts positioning.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing operations to ensure maintenance and operating standards and environments are adequate for each facility
- Identify common failure scenarios based upon installed base of similar components and configurations of equipment, focused to pre-empt outages with similar precedents across client and industry
- Review all new capital and renovation projects within the region with respect to operational requirements
- Coordinate operations of Critical Facilities and systems within the region with FM and Sustainability teams to identify opportunities and incorporate best practices
- Assist in the development of an inventory of critical components for use in sharing best practices; expedite repairs through leveraged parts positioning
- Conduct regular reviews of existing operations to ensure maintenance, operating standards, and environments are adequate for each facility.

Change Management:

- Oversee use of change control procedure for critical systems invasive maintenance and changes to ensure proper business level and CRS - CTI coordination is met, coordinate with other non-facilities changes and events in critical environments
- Review change management policy utilization across the regional facilities management teams and ensure strict adherence to policy
- Manage regional escalation and approval method for emergency changes and events
- Review change management schedules across facilities to ensure that production/cob paired facilities do not have coinciding work schedules
- Work with the global team to develop metrics on maintenance durations and outages to review comparable operations and ensure windows are adequately scheduled.
- Act as advocate on behalf of regional site managers in scheduling required maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the ongoing development of MEA change control procedure for critical systems invasive maintenance and changes to ensure proper business level and client infrastructure coordination is met.

Strategy and Planning
- Act as CBRE - CRS owner for the planning, development, and execution of critical facilities strategies.
- Maintain as-built documentation and load conditions up to date for critical systems based upon operations inventory and data
