This is a full-time remote role for an Sr.Accountant at disaster care capital. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analysing financial data, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. **Responsibilities**: - Oversee and manage daily accounting tasks - Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results - Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures - Assist with tax audits and tax returns. - Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance - Support month-end and year-end close process - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Ensure compliance with GAAP principles - Prepare financial statements and produce budget in accordance with the schedule - Manage tax payments and returns - Update internal systems with financial data - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Review and implement financial policies - Perform a financial analysis and present findings - Work closely with the Manager to ensure smooth operation **A successful Accountant should have**: - 3+ years of experience in similar role - Proficiency in UK tax laws & accounting background is preferable - Skills in creating detailed budgets and forecasting future financial needs. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports and presenting financial data to stakeholders. - Capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring our payments process is well controlled - Preparing VAT returns - Familiarity with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc - A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting - Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with financial software - A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field - Excellent English language speaking & writing **Experience**: - Accounting: 3 years (preferred) **Language**: - English (required)
