To work as first line of defense in cybersecurity, monitor security events in real-time ensure the systems remain secure from potential cyber threats

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitor security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint solutions) for suspicious activities and potential threats
- Analyze and triage security alerts to determine their severity and validity
- Respond to security incidents, containing and mitigating threats effectively
- Conduct forensic investigations to determine the cause and scope of incidents
- Create and maintain detailed incident reports for documentation and review
- Identify and address vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure
- Research emerging cyber threats and update defenses accordingly
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement best practices
- Assist in developing and refining incident response playbooks and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and attack methods

**Job Skills and Abilities**:

- Proficiency with security tools like different SIEM, EDR solutions, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs
- Ability to analyze logs, events, and alerts for suspicious activities
- Hands-on experience in handling and mitigating security incidents
- Familiarity with forensic tools and techniques to investigate breaches
- Understanding of malware behavior and detection techniques
- Skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks
- Knowledge of cyber threat frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills to assess and address threats
- Ability to identify subtle indicators of compromise (IOCs)
- Clear reporting of technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and respond promptly to multiple incidents
- Preferred certification CompTIA security +,CSA - certified SOC analyst

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security
- 1 - 3 years of experience
