Technical Writer

You can be located either in our Silkeborg, Kolding or Graasten, Tampere and Vaasa, and will be working in a global team with members in Denmark, Finland, UK, China and the US.

**Responsibilities**:
The Technical Writer research, writes, compiles, edits, and revises various technical documents using our topic-based DITA XML-CCMS (Component Content Management System).

Documents provide information and guidance in selection, installation, commissioning, programming, operation and after-sales service of Danfoss Drives products.

**Background & Skills**:
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, communications or similar. You have relevant experience in documenting high-tech product lines, and you are experienced in technical writing and communication.

Additionally, you bring:

- Excellent English communication skills both in verbal and writing.
- Knowledge of documentation software (XML, CMS, technical illustrations, etc.).
- Experience with communicating features of complex products to various use situations and user types.
- A basic understanding of electrical industry products.
- Understanding of building an information architecture, e.g. Topic design, DITA, and metadata, incl. taking standards such as iiRDS, VDI 2770 into account.
- Project management e.g., Agile development methods and their effects on content development.
- Information flow between technical communication and product management & development, e.g., joint use of backlogs.

The Technical Writer shall be able to travel on a limited basis.
