What You’ll Do

Design, develop, test, optimize, and support semantic data models (presentation layer), and processes for extracting and loading, and transforming data to semantic data models.

Analyze and optimize current BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models, and tune queries.

Gather requirements from business and technology owners to define business and technical requirements and develop corresponding implementation plans.

Drive the implementation and maintenance of our BI infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and scalability.

Perform data analysis and interpretation to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

Learn and adapt quickly to different technologies and tools.

Collaborate with data engineers and data modelers to ensure the availability and accuracy of data for reporting and analysis purposes.

Inspire, lead, and mentor less senior BI consultants in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.

Establish procedures and standards that produce high-quality data products, services, and artifacts (e.g. dashboards, presentation/semantic layers in DWH, and business requirements documents).

Define reporting and dashboard development best practices using business intelligence software.

Development of accurate time estimates and milestones for projects.

Manage risks, defects, and issues with action plans; develop contingency plans for schedule slips and issues.

Effectively communicating technical solutions and decisions to both technical and leadership audiences through documentation, presentations, and verbal communications.

Able to act as technical lead for one or more projects.

Work with Teradata project managers to scope projects and develop a statement of work, project plan, and risk analysis.

Who You’ll Work With

Technical Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering from a reputable university.

At least 10 years of experience in software development and software engineering management.

Solid experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse technology

Solid track record in developing BI dashboards, reports, visualizations and leading BI teams

Expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting techniques.

Expert level in SQL.

Experience with dimensional data modeling techniques.

Consulting Qualifications

Eye for detail and ability to communicate your thoughts and ideas across global teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent technical & business presentation skills.

Professional consulting background at the corporate level

Customer obsession and experience with working with customers including requirement analysis and product support.

What You’ll Bring

Intermediate understanding of data science and artificial intelligence

Analytical rigor and problem-solving skills

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts

**Have considerable experience in any of the following domains**: telco, government, or banking

Expert in data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView or Microstrategy.

Experience and knowledge of Teradata products is desirable

Necessary Job Requirements

Must be based in Cairo, Egypt.

Must be a native Arabic speaker.

Must be willing to work on-site with clients (Egyptian Government, Telecommunication Operators, and Banks) 100% of the time.

Must pass security clearance to work with the Egyptian Government.
