Finance - Senior Finance Coordinator - Cairo

**About this role**

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Finance Coordinator to manage the whole cycle of finance operations for our Dubai Legal entity, based out of our Cairo office. You will be responsible for activities such as accounting (AP, AR, GL), financial and statutory reporting, tax compliance and cash management.

You will make sure the company is fully compliant with all legal and tax requirements according to the UAE laws and support internally other departments by explaining and enforcing the company's policies.

**What will you do?
**Accounting**:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable (reviewing invoices, managing payment schedules), accounts receivable (issuing invoices, monitoring collections), general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining proper documentation and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Liaise with banks, lawyers, social insurance, Tax Authorities, auditors, and other partners as needed.

**Tax Compliance**:

- Stay updated with relevant tax laws, regulations, and requirements in the UAE.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors or auditors for tax planning, audits, and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records, including supporting documentation.

**Cash Management**:

- Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate funds for day-to-day operations and future financial obligations.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including banking activities, cash disbursements, and cash receipts.
- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, including fraud prevention measures.

**Who you are?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus.
- Proven experience of 4-5 years in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on accounting, tax compliance, and cash management.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures, according to local GAAP (IFRS).
- Good understanding of tax laws (knowledge of UAE-specific tax laws is not mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Used to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), Arabic is a plus.
