Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people _either _frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
**ROLE PURPOSE**:
The Officer holds the crucial responsibility of managing the monthly HR payroll for SCI Egypt country office and will be the focal point of contact for the country office compensation& benefits initiatives including data systems and medical and life insurance.
The incumbent will support the HR Director (HRD)and HR Manager (HRM) in ensuring full implementation of all Compensation & Benefits strategic initiatives and ensuring employees compliance to Save the Children policies and procedures.
Accountable for effectively maintaining HR data and records in alignment with Save the Children's policies. This role spans diverse accountabilities, from ensuring accurate data input for new hires and timely time sheet management to facilitating smooth staff transitions and exits. With a primary focus on Oracle and local HRIS, the officer actively participates in monthly report preparation, policy dissemination, and staff compensation understanding. Additionally, the role extends to vital functions such as insurance assistance, maintaining confidentiality, and providing comprehensive support across various HR functions.
As a member of the HR Team, you will be responsible to coordinate with the HR team on related supporting documents needed for payroll, compensation& benefits, to ensure effective, data base of HR systems are updated.

**KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY**:
**Payroll & Financial aspects**:
- Manage the monthly payroll cycle, to national Fixed Term Appointment and Service Contracts modalities, from calculation to final transfer on MenaPay system; ensuring local deductions re
- in country taxation, social insurance schemes and other allowances (if applicable) are well reflected; this includes monthly overtime review calculation (for eligible staff).
- Ensure reflections of any changes in staff payment are accurately & timely made by collecting and reviewing supporting documents for this change, inclusive of new joiners, changes for currents staff (when applicable) and leavers/separated staff.
- Coordinate on regular basis with Finance Manager regarding monthly payroll reports, development, and review.
- Ensures being updated with local laws on tax calculation, social insurances shares, and any required action based on Egyptian local laws as appropriate, and in coordination with social insurance service provider.
- Act as the main focal point for SCI Egypt service bank, facilitating opening bank accounts for newcomers to ensuring enrollment under payroll.
- Prepare for monthly annual leave accrual tool and coordinate it with Finance department.

**Compensation & Benefits**:
- Under close guidance and direction by HRD, the incumbent will manage the component of staff compensation& benefits, this includes allowances changes, calculation of employee’s benefits, following and implement any new benefits reflected in SCI guides.
- Act as the main focal point reference for staffing cost calculation, in support to new roles identified, including reflection of updates monthly on staffing changes, closely collaborating with Finance focal point on staffing cost updates.
- Act as focal point to benefits service providers, including medical, life and other benefits provided to employees, including tender’s focal point with service providers.
- Supervise and review the action regarding monthly addition, deletion, changes on monthly basis with HR Assistant and new schemes introduced to Co., including invoicing.
- Guide the HR Assistant/Coordinator on handling and administering medical claims.
- Actively participates in overall Country Office benefits enhancement and amendments (when needed)
- Act as the focal point for salary reviews under close guidance by the line management, this includes salary reviews and salary scale updates.
- Support in reviewing the new offers, and internal changes in remuneration with HR, issued by talent acquisition team to ensure internal equities are met.
