**Entity and activity description**
Air Liquide has been operating in Egypt since 2002, serving a large portfolio of customers and operating on various markets: metals, glass, chemicals and petrochemicals, food and beverage, environment, automotive and metal fabrication, laboratories and research, oil and gas, etc.

**Missions and Responsibilities**
The Automation & Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for process safety, occupational safety and for security on the site. He /shewill manage the site day-to-day work including routine maintenance activities driven by Maximo.

Interface with local authorities as needed. Provide local representation of AL with customers in the basin. Ensure a close relationship with customers.

Manage site team and liaise with the ROCC, the LEAD Center, and the CoE to achieve reliable supply of products in the safest, most reliable and efficient manner. Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Team while handing over / taking over equipment to ensure the safety and reliability in work turnover.

Other responsibilities:

- To follow up the maint. activities, ensuring the, maint. related, company goals, which for sure directly linked to productivity, efficiency and reliability, are met while keeping constraints (SHE, quality and IMS) respected and fulfilled.
- Troubleshooting and repairs or modifications with respect to manufacturer specifications and documentation to keep production units and all associated equipment running at max. productivity and min. down time resulting in cost effective and safe operations.
- Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, Ladder and P&ID process diagrams.
- Strong skills with PLC, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation and industrial control systems, including advanced programming techniques and configurations.
- To manage and follow up budget and inst. spare parts ordering to avoid any breakdown due to spare parts shortage

**Competencies and Profile**
- 2-5 Years of experience
- B.of Engineering_ (Mechatronics / Electrical) _with Maintenance background including PLC’s, HMI’s, Servos, VFD’s, electrical, hydraulics, controls, instrumentation and pneumatics.
- Strong knowledge of Maintenance pillars
- Industrial Management System
- High level of safety commitment
- Advanced command of English language
