**Accountabilities**:

- To carry out and record chemical, physical and Microbiological laboratory testing of products both work in progress and finished products by following the correct methods of analysis and work instructions.
- Ensure tests are carried out in a timely and accurate manner and all results documented and reported correctly following strict methodologies.
- Ensure any non-conformance of standard is reported correctly to laboratory leader/ quality teams/ production (as required), record corrective actions taken.
- Perform and record internal calibration check of the lab. Equipment and instruments as per the required intervals.
- Ensure retained/shelf-life samples are stored effectively for traceability and testing as required.
- Participate in investigations into product issues, customer complaints.
- To ensure all reagents, tools and instruments are kept in the correct condition and report any issues in a timely manner.
- Constructing, maintaining, and operating standard laboratory equipment, for example, titrators, pipetting machines, and pH meters.
- To carry out any other tasks relevant to the department as requested by department managers.
- To carry out microbiological testing and activities, To Deliver Micro KPIs.
- Responsible of quality audits (AIBI - QAS - FSSC - ASHA - NAFSA- Regulatory audits )
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) within the lab,and Follow all the Lab. documented procedures and instructions regarding HACCP, ISO, Hygiene, and EHS.
- Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
- Carry out Drinking and Wastewater analysis according to SOP.
- Bring any problems to the attention of Lab Supervisors and stuff, in addition to providing advices on quality issues.
- Perform sanitation & hygiene test procedures to ensure compliance to company standards & local authority standards.

- Lead micro lab team to achieve micro lab KPIs.
- Maintain ISO/ 17025 accreditation certificate & achieve related lab targets across microbiology lab activities.
- Manage micro lab MOH as per agreed phasing across the year.
- Plan with labs manager micro lab equipment upgrading agenda in yearly capex.
- Review and approve daily test results for materials and products issued from each lab, and Ensures all results documented, and summary reporting on daily /weekly/ monthly basis.
- Schedule laboratory teams to ensure timely and accurate laboratory testing for production and quality teams is conducted.
- Ensure that RM sampling plan are correctly implemented and updated.
- Ensures compliance to the set specifications and takes actions upon noncompliance, monitors deviations from the standard agreed specs, and reports risks and mitigations for any deviation taking place.
- Carry out and manages daily positive release through in a timely manner.
- Investigates and confirms OOS test results with micro lab analyst according to the approved OOS SOP before reporting to the laboratory manager.
- Conducts timely and accurate results for micro lab. Proficiency testing and report results to the relevant labs.
- Ensure that environmental monitoring plan are fully implemented, and reports of non-conformities communicated with food safety team to take proper actions.
- Monitors and ensures that laboratories equipment’s calibration plan is fulfilled.
- Ensure that related test method are fully & properly followed by micro lab team and provide on spot guidance.
- Ensures that product test results are recorded in lab documents and report the results to the laboratory manager on monthly basis.
- Plan / Monitor laboratories requirements (Reagents, chemicals, media, tools, equipment, PPEs, )
- and ensure that they are provided in a timely manner.
- Update and review laboratory documents (SOPs, MOA, Specs., Operation Instructions) according to communicated changes and document control requirements, check labs Records on weekly basis, and ensure that they are completed and retained as per GLP requirements.
- Conduct induction training to newly employed analysts and Ensures the continuous induction of Moral and Motivation initiatives to ensure high productive and motivated teams.
- Conducts performance appraisals sessions of his/ her direct reports in due time. Reviews and approves the performance appraisals conducted by them, ensuring a timely, efficient, and objective Performance Management process.
- Initiates training needs for his team resulting from either channel; performance appraisals outputs, or technical training regarding GLP.
- Ensures that Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is carried out and the required regular audit results are reported to the laboratories manager.
