Lead Customer Application Engineer

**Job Description Summary**:

- Preparing winning proposals to achieve the orders operating plan, major focus on Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) solution portfolio
- Meeting customer’s priorities in terms of time schedule, price, scope, from commercial and technical aspects.
- Managing the assigned tendering workload, with extensive focus on M&D Business

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Technical Proposals Management**
- Technical Analysis of customer needs/RFQ to define and offer on products /services/solutions based on GE Make products
- Facilitate Sales & Growth Leaders in key focus, promoting the GE Asset Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) solution portfolio within the region
- Facilitate developing new customer accounts and quoting competitive GE products/solutions, pertaining mainly on M&D
- Ensure Complaint offer to the technical specifications in accordance with tender requirement
- Identify & Flag Key Risks and ensure the mitigation plan in Risk & Opportunity register
- Managing & Implementation of the Return of Experience
- Ensure proposals are in accordance with commercial and healthy execution strategies
- Ensure technical Derogation and New Product Introduction (NPI) approvals, if applicable for technical solution.
- Ensure completion of site assessments (site visit/review) for the Brown Field Projects
- Maintaining the Typical circuits /schemes /solution in Tendering Tools to facilitate future standard offerings
- Ensure the respect of technical and commercial offers time schedule to serve sales force in due time and due quality level
- Timely review and response to technical enquiries/clarifications of bid
- Support order booking as per signed contract/PO, ensure booking process well in place & drive an improved OTR turnover process
- Support the Sales team in commercial and technical meetings/negotiations with customers
**Bidding Process**
- Ensure the complete bid management phases to ensure compliance to GE policy and financial guidelines of Grid Solutions/Grid Automation Business
- Ensure conducting different tender reviews as per guidelines and well ahead to tender submission due dates
- Conduct Transfer Meeting + hand over relevant documents to operations team
**Costing and Pricing Analysis**
- Responsible for review and analysis of cost and price preparation & calculations
- Responsible for having formal quotes of third-party products/systems and updating in Tendering tool in line with sourcing
- Responsible for ensuring correct Labor rates in tendering tool in accordance with latest updates
- Cost Optimization & Risk Analysis: Challenge product/solution costs and delivery costs in tenders
- Commercial/ Technical win loss Analysis of Bids
- Review and maintain Hit Rate
**Required Qualifications**
- B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge on M&D is mandatory
- Knowledge of customer requirements and Specifications in MENAT is a plus
**Desired Characteristics**
- Master’s in engineering degree, or Business is a plus
- Min. 3 years’ experience in tendering/commercial function.
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Deep Knowledge and understanding of Commercial terms and tendering process
- Proactive work style, creativity, energy. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a distributed matrix sales structure. Self-starter with high energy level is key to success in this position.
