**About the Job**

**Responsibilities**
- Controlling the entire IT infrastructure.
- Creating, putting into practice, and reviewing IT initiatives in line with organizational goals.
- Coordinating with other departments to identify and meet their IT requirements.
- Managing and overseeing IT department personnel.
- Ensuring that ongoing initiatives and technological systems are maintained.
- Spotting weak points, the need for modifications, and areas for development.
- Making recommendations for new hardware and software as well as strategic solutions.
- Creating financial performance reports and budgets.
- Establishing and sustaining connections with outside consultants and suppliers.
- Ensuring that reported problems are fixed quickly.
- Keep a current inventory of all the hotel's computer hardware and software.
- Ensure that all computer media backups are finished, documented, and kept in accordance with the rules.
- Uphold strict standards for data and physical security
- Control computer room security and make sure that the space's fire safety, climate control, and power needs adhere to the security criteria outlined in the security system.
- Manage all user IDs, passwords, and the most delicate system tools to secure all critical resources.
- Keep user and technical documentation, system reports, newsletters, and announcements tidy, organized, and safe.
- Install and test any program updates to the hotel's computer system(s) that have been approved by management.
- Look into and report any software issues to the vendor or the support centre.
- Selecting colleagues to instruct users on systems.

**Requirements**:
**Hotels experience is a MUST.**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT or related field.
- 7+ years related experience in hotels.
- Keep up to date with all approved systems and technology including:

- Ø Computer Hardware systems and devices including PC LAN technology
- Ø Software operating and utility systems
- Ø Front Office and Accounts Receivable Property Management Systems
- Ø Interfaces to and from Front Office Property Management Systems and other Systems
- Ø Back Office Accounting Systems
- Ø PC and LAN based Office Automation products
- Ø Internal and External Electronic Mail / Facsimile / Scanner software and communication tools
- Ø Point of Sale Systems
- Ø Call Accounting
- Ø Cabling
- Ø Hub / Switch Management Systems
- Ø Assist and Support Electronic Door Locking Computer System
- Ø Computer Virus protection
- Ø Hotel IT Security and Firewalls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced level of communication skills.
- A proactive team player who is accountable, diligent, and able to work under pressure. superb project management skills.
