**About the role**
We are looking for an Accounting Associate to ensure timely preparation of monthly accounts, complete an accurate recognition of expenses, and file statutory returns. This person will report to the Senior Accounting Coordinator.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring timely posting of invoices and processing of payments to suppliers.
- Perform Bank postings and Bank reconciliations.
- Filing and payment of Monthly Salary Tax, Social Insurance, Labor Fund, and Martyr Fund, going to the Bank in person
- Work with the accounting team to ensure statutory returns, i.e. WHT, VAT, and Income Tax have been filed accurately and submitted before cut-off dates as well as payments submitted promptly.
- Manage Andela Egypt's fixed assets by ensuring monthly updates are done and assist in conducting asset verification exercises.
- Filing invoices through the Egypt Tax authority e-billing platform in an accurate and timely manner.
- Review transactions for completeness, accuracy, proper documentation, and approvals prior to processing.
- Preparation of the weekly cash flow plan.
- Assist our accountants in the timely close of the monthly accounts
- Maintain an accurate electronic filing system.
- Assist in developing reporting processes, procedures, and internal controls for maintaining the efficient flow of all financial transactions.
- Assist during audits for both internal and external.
- Perform other duties as and when required by the Senior Accounting Coordinator.
**Basic requirements**:

- Education: university degree with minimum CPA II qualification
- Experience: At least 2 years overall experience in a similar role, audit experience will be an advantage
- Qualifications: Proficiency in ERP software, MS Excel and other MS Office tools
