Senior Media Planner

**Job Description**:
Your key responsibility in this role will be to lead the team in developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing the digital marketing campaigns of one of our top clients, across all digital channels in the region.
You should also be able to support the media division and wider media team with developing media plans in line with the communication strategy and any other duties relating to developing accurate media (client) campaigns. You will be responsible for designing and implementing creative and effective communication campaigns, which are data driven and grounded in strategy and insights to drive our client’s business.
**Main Tasks**:
**Technical & Product**
- Develop, assess and present to the client documents related to: media strategies, media plans, reports.
- Develop and evaluate supplier proposals.
- To work closely with the finance department to manage the ongoing financials of the account, generate periodical reconciliation and manage ad-hoc vendor issues.
- To start fostering relationships with the clients where the planner is respected for their media skills and ability to add value to the effectiveness of clients’ media investment.
- Lead on media spend summaries and flowcharts to make sure they are updated and accurate.
- Direct team member with the input from strategy, implementation, data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Connect with internal specialists and external stakeholders' units to design integrated solutions to our clients.
- Master a flawless media execution process working alongside various stakeholders (client, creative agency.. etc)
- To have a strong relationship with media vendors, which covers the ability to negotiate extra deliverables for the client (rates, extensions, delivery deadlines etc.)
- To work with Buying Team: provide them with an investment brief, collaborate in the development of implementation plan and liaise with them regarding any issues on on-going plans
**Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency**
- Be able to develop a good rapport with media owners and colleagues within Starcom and the creative agencies.
- Be able to assess media campaigns and develop actionable and insightful recommendations to optimize them against the projects goal.
- Begin to develop an understanding of the client’s business, their products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, competitors and sales.
- Build and maintain media knowledge of the market, consumer and media research available.
- Develop knowledge of research tools such as GWI, brand pulse... etc to understand the business
- Develop a deep understanding of the business category & knowledge of the competitive frame.

- Sound knowledge of the media market place and opportunities available.
- To provide strategic recommendations and write POV on media selection / rationales in addition to evaluating campaign performance.

**Qualifications**:
- BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
- Proven working experience of 3-4 years in media planning (online & offline)
