**Project Description**:
***The WESE program is five-year USAID-funded project designed to engage, leverage, and partner with the private sector as well as public social service initiatives to encourage women’s participation in the workforce; generate demand for financial services; promote tailored, market-based solutions to women’s economic empowerment; and strengthen GBV prevention and response such that women become more economically and socially resilient.
WESE activities **_integrate, mutually reinforcing private and public sector-led approaches_** that aim to **_change power relationships, transform structures, and build agency_** to effect results along critical change pathways. The program interventions are designed to lead women in priority governorates feeling safe, valued, and empowered at work; motivated and able to embrace financial autonomy; and respected and free from violence in their homes, communities, and workplaces.
The program works closely with **_market_**_-based partners_** to develop, lead, scale, sustain, and champion innovative solutions, recognizing the economic AND social benefits of gender-inclusive, empowering policies and practices.
**Job Summary**:
The IT Specialist will support the smooth functioning of the project through the development and roll out of IT policies and procedures, IT helpdesk support, maintenance of equipment and support to staff through training.
**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Set-up, support and maintain the IT infrastructure for the WESE project offices;
- Ensure adequate network security by coordinating with the IT Manager;
- Ensure project and staff strictly comply with all USAID and Pathfinder policies, procedures and regulations governing the procurement, maintenance and use of IT resources;
- Ensue that servers, connections, equipment and software maintained to the required standard
- Manage the maintenance of the data back-up systems including appropriate registry updates;
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for all project staff;
- Timely creation, activate and deactivate user accounts,
- monitor usage and internet speeds
- Assist Administration team in the management of the fixed asset register as it pertains to IT equipment,
- Ensure that software packages are maintained and kept current including antivirus software and warranty end dates.
- Provide IT support for meetings and workshops;
- Assist with delivering training on relevant IT tools or programs using virtual and in-person training
- Other duties as assigned.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role with an International Organization;
- Advanced skills in Server and LAN management and maintenance;
- Excellent oral, written communications, and problem-solving ability;
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel);
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, with the aim of providing IT support in an efficient manner;
- Professional verbal and written abilities in both English and Arabic;
- Ability to train/mentor staff in accounting requirements;
**Effort, Reporting and Other Administrative Requirements**:
The IT Specialist is a full-time position that reports to the IT Manager who will coordinate all aspects of his/her employment, including but not limited to job description, duties, qualifications, working environment, and performance.
**Working Environment**:
This position will interaction with All staff, IT and Communication Suppliers. May travel to various locations within Egypt, specifically WESE defined governorates.
