Job Description
- _Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services._
- _Analyzes data, reports, and processes in order to improve the productivity and profitability of the operations through initiation and implementation of projects that optimize costs, efficiency, and quality._
- _Recommends the best methods of space, manpower, material, and equipment utilization in production facilities._
- _Determines cost effect of special requests by Engineering, Marketing, operational, and / or upper management groups._
- Investigates, plans, and works with other departments, such as production and quality, to carry out a cost reduction plan by analyzing and evaluating projects, developing action plans, coordinating, implementing, and following-up for results._
_Supports operations with worker structuring, process changes and improvements, and maximizing operation efficiencies._
- _Assists facilities in the area of workplace safety._ _Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals._
- _Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Quarterly goals and objectives reports are required, as well as detailed factory trip reports with summaries of opportunities, results of tests, and photos / diagrams._
- _Figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency._
- _Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs._
- _Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production._
- _Reports to a Senior Engineer or Engineering manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected._
