We are seeking a talented **Senior Pipeline Engineer** to join our Engineering Department team based in Cairo. In this role, you will be key in submarine pipeline systems design and engineering activities, working on innovative and impactful projects.

**What you will be doing.**:
As our **Senior Pipeline Engineer**, you will work as part of the Cairo Office Engineering Department team, supporting and performing duties related to the design and engineering of pipeline systems, both offshore and onshore. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and reviewing relevant Marine Warranty Survey pipeline technical documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

- Take part in Technical and Procedural Reviews and Study Reports covering Projects as well as Site attendance.
- Contribute to the continual development of the Business Lines offered in the region.
- Prepare as required and assist with technical inputs on projects and working on interfaces, with increased responsibility and complexity.
- Review pipeline design basis and ensure its full compliance to project specifications and Scope of Work.
- Manage a defined project scope within schedule and budget and resolve design irregularities.
- Planning the site visits including attendance when required.
- Prepare, review, analyse, and interpret technical data more independently and accurately.
- Take on greater responsibility in report writing and Technical Note preparation, with a focus on creating initial reports and analyses for review by experienced professionals.
- Undertake more complex analytical work, create, and maintain advanced spreadsheets and databases.
- Attend meetings together with senior managers and support where needed.
- Assist with the conduction of Technical Projects.
- Assist with the conducting of Assurance Projects.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals for services and other related projects.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies.
- Assist and/or lead projects (as assigned by the Manager) to accomplish the overall delivery for optimum solutions to Customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by the company and/or the Client.
- Responsible for delivery of quality documents within a timeline established by Management and Client.
- Liaise with Clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.

**What we are looking for.**:
As a Senior Pipeline Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise in pipeline design, engineering principles, and relevant industry standards. You will excel in using advanced engineering software, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks will ensure project success and client satisfaction. Additionally, you will:

- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with significant related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience with at least 10 years of pipeline design & engineering experience with Engineering / Consultancy firms.
- Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
- Will have relevant offshore pipeline experience
- Proficiency in relevant pipeline engineering software such as but not limited to Sage-profile, AGA-PRCI, AutoPIPE, VIVSIM, Stable-Line, FatFree, OFFPIPE, OrcaFlex, etc..
- Ability to develop pipeline design package and lead / guide junior engineers and draftsmen to develop pipeline drawings and details, such as:

- Basis of design.
- Wall thickness selection.
- On-bottom stability.
- Bottom roughness.
- Dynamic span analysis & fatigue screening.
- Riser & tie-in spools design.
- Global buckling (lateral & upheaval).
- Crossing design.
- Alignment sheets, Spools and Risers layouts, and Crossing Details.
- Pipeline project specifications.
- Pipeline & fittings Material take-offs & material requisitions.
- Procurements support including vendor prints review and technical evaluations
