**Director of Engineering **for one of our partners, an international education platform.

**Job Summary**:
Our partner is on the look for a
**Director of Engineering **Reporting directly to the CTO, your role is to build and lead and provide leadership for multiple engineering teams in designing and delivering innovative and scalable learning experiences for our consumer and business customer segments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and inspire talented engineers and create an environment where a cross-functional, self-organized team can thrive, working in an agile software development environment to discover innovate, implement, deploy, and own end-to-end complex software solutions.
- Develop and grow engineering talent through effective mentoring, coaching, and retention strategies.
- Guide your team in creation of software as an end-to-end solution to a problem, considering non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of services in line with our internal engineering standards.
- Understand and lead number of business domain and work with product as well as the business partners to drive desired outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider tech organization by leading strategic initiatives.
- Develop cross-org strategies, hiring, ways of working, quality culture.
- Continuously improve DORA and our business reliability metrics.

**Requirements**:

- 10± years of experience in software engineering, preferably within Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and Continuous Refactoring)
- 5± years of hands-on technical leadership and people management of cross-functional, self-organized teams of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience in TypeScript and React, Flutter or similar frameworks, frontend build systems, complex API integrations.
- Experience in Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services)
