Software Tester

We are looking for a highly organized person to test the software designed and developed by our Devices team.

The main responsibility of this role is to identify any issues within a product before it gets deployed to the end-users. This involves developing and running software test plans, interacting with teams, and submitting detailed reports of findings. This team has mostly been doing manual testing, but is starting to design and implement automation.

Automation testing experience is certainly welcomed, however for the right person, this could be an opportunity for a tester to grow their automation testing skills.

**_ There is opportunity for this role in both our Reykjavík, Iceland office or Porto, Portugal office_**

**Main assignments**:

- Work on the quality of the software by testing new development to ensure that defects are discovered and corrected, and that the software works as required
- Take part in establishing automated test processes to ensure quality
- Execution of code in various environments, including web and mobile
- Execute all the test cases and report defects, defining severity and priority for each defect
- Participate in the Agile development process as a member of a cross-functional development team
- Assist other teams within LS Retail in implementing the solution

**Qualifications**:

- Education that is relevant to the role
- Knowledge and experience of testing software
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience using Test Plans for Azure DevOps is an advantage
- Experience of automated testing, such as with SoapUI, is an advantage
- Knowledge of how retail processes work is an advantage
