**Role Purpose**:

- Support growth of VBU services and solutions and ensure early engagement with the business and providing the required support from risk management to ensure business objectives are delivered and protect the organization from potential losses or threats to its continued operation and proactively identify and control threats and vulnerabilities that could impact financial services new products
- New products risk assessments including evaluation of any new products, processes, channels risks. Also defining and driving action plans to address these risks.
- Operational Risk management which involves identifying and assessing potential risks affecting the business as well as establishing and quantifying the organization’s 'risk appetite'. Also defining and driving action plans to address these risks.
- Define risk register and maintain up-to-date, risk identification, assessment, and reporting, Ensuring the implementation of action plans for all critical and high tactical risks for which the risk owner is able to mitigate risks to an acceptable level
- Risk reporting along with the required action plans for key business risks to different audiences and governance forums locally and with Vodacom and with VF Group and to the business owners to understand their accountability and responsibility.
- Engage with different local and Group stakeholders to ensure strong risk management and compliance framework, effectively managing key risks to secure the business against Financial, Reputational and Legal damages.

**Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership**:

**Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience**:

- Previous experience in Compliance/audit/risk management
- Ability to lead & influence cross functional teams
- Good understanding of cloud and VBU services and solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation & reporting skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- B.S of Business administration or equivalent degree
- Previous experience in Compliance/audit/risk management
- English language fluency
- Strong communication, presentation skills
- Proficient with MS PowerPoint and report writing
