Risk Management Supervisor

Support heavily in building and promoting a Risk Culture in AXA Egypt.
- Perform/Check data quality checks on data used in different processes.
- Check the documentation, review and regularly update risk management procedures and company policies.
- Check structured risk management update reports to the ExCom/ARCC/Audit Committee.
- Drive the implementation of the Maturity Models.
- Produce/check a risk management opinion on large accounts, partnerships, bancassurance deals and annual strategic plans.
- Set up the risk appetite framework in line with the local requirements and AXA group standards, ensure that risks are within agreed risk appetite as well as anticipate any future deviation.
- Conduct quantitative studies of risk and profitability as well as review pricing tools in the context of Product Approval Process.
- Lead the production of 2nd opinion on reserving calculations to ensure the appropriateness of reserves now and in the future.
- Check the review of reinsurance programs to confirm retention and cover appropriateness through stress tests.
- Contribute heavily to the process of measuring accumulation of exposure and monitoring it on a regular basis.
- Review and challenge profitability reports and key metrics of the in force business.
- Review second opinion on Asset Liability Management (ALM), Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Investment Approval Process (IAP) studies.
- Review and challenge the capital allocation and solvency requirements in line with AXA Group and local requirements through stress tests.
- Facilitate the identification, categorization, assessment, prioritization, creation of action plans and regular update of potential and emerging local risks in line with the regulatory requirements and AXA group standards.
- Drive the regular reporting of Loss Data Collection (LDC)
- Work on the establishment and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators.
- Coordinate with IT regarding implementation of information security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Review risk management opinion on critical IT projects.
- Coordinate with the communication department on management of reputation risk.
- Conduct/check qualitative assessment of operational risks in the context of Product Approval Process.
- Lead Internal Control Processes review.
- Assist other areas of the business with tasks/projects as required.
- Perform all other duties assigned by manage.

**Skills**:

- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science (preferable) or Engineering.
- 6-10 years in Risk Management, Actuarial or another technical functions in an insurance, reinsurance or consulting company
- 3-5 Actuarial exam passes
- Highly numerate, analytical and attentive to detail.
- Intermediate technical skills with the ability/willingness to learn different aspects of risk management.
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills (Verbal and Written)
- Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts and insurance industry risk management requirements.
- Intermediate knowledge of insurance industry dynamics and operational intricacies.
- Intermediate knowledge of Egypt risk management regulations.
- Intermediate understanding of the current and developing regulatory capital framework (e.g. Solvency II)
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis
- Advanced understanding of all AXA Egypt’s products and policy conditions
- Advanced knowledge of systems and business operations.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
- Knowledge of Access, VBA, SAS and R is a plus
- Advanced Awareness of emerging risks arising out of business practices or from the country
- Advanced judgment on regulatory changes that has any direct impact on the company's risk management initiatives
- Advanced understanding of Life and P&C actuarial concepts, analysis and modeling
- Advanced knowledge of risk assessment and quantification methodologies followed to manage enterprise risks
