**The Role**: **Where you fit In** Rashpetco/Burullus is a Joint Venture (JV) company operating one of Egypt’s largest gas fields. The JV is the operator of the WDDM (West Delta Deep Marine) Field, which includes offshore wells/ control platform and the 2.3 BCFD gas treatment plant capacity located at Idku (Egypt North Coast). WDDM production supplying gas to the National Grid and to the adjacent “Egypt LNG” plant for LNG export. Shell is a major partner in both Rashpetco and ELNG. The WDDM field and facilities is currently producing around 300 MMSCFD of gas & approx. 5,000 BPD of condensate. It also processes 3rd party gas from adjacent fields, and as such has a privileged position to support Egypt’s strategy to become a gas hub in the Mediterranean region **Purpose**: **Organization** The RASHPETCO Engineering team is almost equipped with a full Technical Authorities and Discipline Engineers covering all major disciplines and linked closely to day-to-day execution of the scopes in the field as well as design and engineering activities in Cairo. As per Rashpetco organization, the Brownfield Process Safety Engineer position is reporting to the Rashpetco Engineering Manager and functionally reporting to the process safety technical authority. **Challenges** Aging facilities is a clear issue and challenge includes onshore plant as well as the subsea infrastructure and controls and hence the process safety role is very crucial in maintain the safe operation of the asset, ensure that at any point of time the ALARP conditions are maintained and adequately demonstrated **Accountabilities** - Provides Technical Safety input to the brownfield modifications, studies and MOCs. - Plan/Organize/Scribe/Facilitate/Lead HSE risk assessment workshops: HAZIDs/HAZOPs, Facility Siting/Layout Studies, Physical Effects Modeling etc. - Perform Technical responsibilities for certain Project Technical Safety deliverables - Support "Fit-for-purpose" implementation of Global HSSE Standards - Support development, modification, and implementation the HSSE Management System and HSSE Control Framework **Work Pattern** This job is office based with frequent site visit (Burullus, IDKU), might include offshore short trips **What we need from You** - Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering or equivalent - At least 8 years Oil and Gas industry experience in Discipline Engineering, 4 of which in process safety - Demonstrated ability to lead work groups and study teams. - Skilled at facilitation of technical discussions/risk-based decision making - Certified functional safety is a plus - Self-assured, confident, able to execute position responsibilities with mínimal guidance - Strong planning, coordination, and leadership skills - Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills are essential as is fluency in written and spoken English **Disclaimer
