Data Management Project Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of data management projects, including data quality, data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management (MDM).
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage execution against these plans.
- Oversee project resources, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and updates to executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, data stewards, and other specialists to drive delivery.
- Champion best practices in Agile or Hybrid delivery models suited to data projects.
- Support change management and adoption across business users.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years managing data management projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving:

- Data governance frameworks
- Metadata and lineage management
- Data quality initiatives
- Master data and reference data solutions
- Data warehouse or lake implementations
- Proficient in using project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with ability to drive multi-disciplinary teams.

**Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)**:

- Prior experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.
- Understanding of data regulations in the banking sector (e.g., GDPR, local regulatory bodies).
- Experience working with data platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, Talend, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with data strategy and enterprise data architecture.
- Exposure to cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of BI/reporting tools and data visualization platforms.
