Project & Development Services - MENA
JLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.
We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.
**What this job involves**:
- Managing and maintaining the Aconex system for multiple projects.
- Setting up and configuring Aconex for new projects.
- Creating and managing document numbering systems and file structures.
- Uploading, organizing, and distributing project documents through Aconex.
- Tracking document revisions and ensuring version control.
- Managing user access and permissions within Aconex.
- Providing training and support to project team members on Aconex usage.
- Generating reports and dashboards from Aconex as required.
- Ensuring compliance with document control procedures and policies.
- Collaborating with project managers and team members to streamline document workflows.
- Assisting in the archiving of project documents upon project completion.
- Troubleshooting Aconex-related issues and liaising with Aconex support when necessary.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for document management processes.
Desired Skills and experience for this
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Aconex.
- Strong understanding of document control principles and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with other document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Dropbox) is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction project lifecycles and terminology.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Aconex certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Experience in the Middle East construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
