StatsBomb was founded in January 2017 to provide data, analytics, and consultancy to football clubs, media, and gambling companies. StatsBomb continually undertakes new research and are well known in the analytics industry for providing unique insights into the game of football. We have developed our own proprietary industry-leading data collection and analytics software with a user-friendly high-vis front end. StatsBomb have grown from our initial team of 3 at the start of 2017 to over 300 employees based in the UK, US and Egypt and are continuing to grow and expand our operation.

**The Role**

StatsBomb has the most detailed football data available in the industry and is growing fast. Our HR function is growing too and we are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our small HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and can take on an advisory role on best practices for the recruitment and retention of employees. This is a generalist role, providing end to end support across the employee life-cycle with the opportunity to get involved with a number of new exciting projects.

**Your Background**
- 3+ years of experience.
- Solid experience working in a busy HR generalist role
- Up to date with employment law
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using HR software

**Your skills and knowledge**
- Knowledge of best practices in recruitment and selection
- Solid experience of using HR software including designing reports and using data to drive and influence decisions
- Excellent employment law knowledge and experience of dealing with a range of ER issues
- Good relationship building skills and the ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
- Attention to detail
- A passion for L&D, recognizing the importance of investing in the employee to reduce retention and improve employee performance and capability.
- Experience of managing a wide range of employee benefits
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Ability to work within a confidential environment
- Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn
- A strong communicator, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- A team player, keen to support colleagues and share best practice
- The ability to research, analyze and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes

**Your responsibilities in the role**
- Using your HR knowledge and expertise to advise employees and managers on employment law and various people management issues
- Support the Head of HR and departmental managers to solve challenges and help evolve the organizational approach to performance management
- Proactively advising on Employee Relations issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide support at all levels
- Provide effective advice and guidance on employment law, policies and best practices
- Implement, update and monitor policies and procedures to ensure the business adopts best practice approaches to reflect case law and legislation
- Proactively review new potential employee benefits
- Support and promote the company's culture including a re-launch of the values
- Review and support the implementation of relevant training plans and programs
- Proactively work with Department Heads to address issues such as absence levels and performance issues, enabling managers to effectively manage cases
- Help design and run the employee engagement survey, creating and monitoring action plans to address issues of concern and development
- Support the Head of HR on a wide range of projects and assist in the development and implementation of the agreed HR strategy and action plan
- Analyze monthly workforce data and provide commentary and HR recommendations as required
