**Role Overview**:
Uqudo is seeking a dedicated Machine Learning (ML) engineer to join our dynamic document support team at uqudo. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the integration of new documents for our KYC processes, leveraging your ML expertise to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop AI-based solutions for document support tasks.
- Utilise your expertise in image processing libraries such as Pillow, OpenCV, and NumPy to enhance document analysis and manipulation processes.
- Assist in the design and development of AI-driven features focusing on computer vision techniques such as image classification and text detection.
- Implement and optimise deep learning architectures using frameworks such as TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch.
- Collect, clean and label image datasets for various document support related tasks.
- Maintain and improve our existing algorithms and models, including continuous evaluation, gap analysis, re-training, and fine tuning.
- Work closely with other technical teams to ensure the successful integration of AI models into our platform.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, actively contributing ideas for process improvements and innovation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor or master degree in computer science or related fields.
- 2+ years experience in a ML role.
- Knowledge in training and fine-tuning deep learning models for computer vision tasks.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow/Keras and PyTorch, as well as computer vision libraries like Pillow, OpenCV and scikit-image.
- Previous experience or exposure to real-life projects, either through internships, academic projects, or personal initiatives is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluent in Arabic is a plus (spoken and written).
