USER INTERFACE DESIGN

Do you excel at component‑driven design in Figma and love partnering with engineers to translate tokens into production code? We are seeking a Lead UI Designer to own our design system, ensuring every micro‑app—from vendor onboarding to AI audit dashboards—looks and feels like part of the same family.

You’ll collaborate daily with UX researchers, front‑end developers, back‑end engineers, and DevOps specialists in cross‑functional pods, shipping high‑quality, accessible experiences that regulators trust and end‑users enjoy.

Must have a laptop that supports design work and Microsoft Teams meetings. Company will provide all design software licences.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defining and evolving the Compliance Nexus design system, including colour palette, typography scale, iconography, and interaction patterns.Creating high‑fidelity screens and interactive prototypes in Figma for new platform modules.
- Documenting components and tokens for developer hand‑off via Storybook and shared design repositories.
- Conducting UI reviews to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation and WCAG compliance.
- Collaborating with UX researchers to incorporate usability findings and iterate on visual solutions.
- Guiding front‑end developers on responsive behaviour, motion guidelines, and micro‑interaction details.
- Maintaining version control of design assets and establishing a clear process for design‑system contributions.
- Participating in sprint ceremonies, providing status updates, and estimating design tasks.
- Championing visual consistency and accessibility across all customer touchpoints.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field.
- 5+ years of UI or visual design experience, including ownership of a design system.
- Expertise with Figma (components, variables, auto‑layout) and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.2‑AA), and localisation.
- Experience collaborating with React/TypeScript development teams and using Git‑backed hand‑off workflows.
- Portfolio demonstrating enterprise‑grade interfaces and measurable impact on user experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with design‑token management and Storybook integration.
- Exposure to cybersecurity or compliance‑oriented products.
- Experience with motion design tools (After Effects, Lottie) for micro‑interactions.
- Certification such as NN/g UX Certification in Visual Design or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of front‑end performance considerations and CI/CD pipelines.
