Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to be part of our journey in creating vibrant B2B communities and marketplaces in selected verticals. Reporting directly to Head of Data & Analytics, this recently established team will be a critical partner in supporting our product teams by turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into action. Our Data Analysts will help us stay in tune with our customers’ needs and behaviours through gathering, analysing, and interpreting data throughout the entire product lifecycle.

The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for leading and prioritising work for our data analyst team, in addition to being hands-on with data. With a passion to use data to tell a strong, clear, insight-driven story, this role will require strong communication and presentation skills to ensure we are on track to meet our business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, train and develop a small team of data analysts
- Present insights to a range of business stakeholders
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and produce ongoing reports, visualisations, and presentations
- Evaluate and implement tools to collect, manage and analyse data from primary and secondary sources
- Define data capture tags and test to ensure that they are working as expected
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement, business and customer opportunities

Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
- Experience in managing a direct report
- Proven experience in collaborating with a variety of disciplines (UX, development, research, etc.)
- Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL, etc), programming (ETL frameworks)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings with data visualizations
- Strong experience with product performance measurement tools e.g. Pendo, FullStory, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Heap, Mixpanel, Segment
- Experience with data science projects, ML models around recommendations, interactions, etc. is desirable
- BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
